Dispensing

We are a dispensing practice and dispense drugs for patients who live in rural areas further than a mile from a chemist. Patients may take a paper prescription to a town chemist if they wish.

Prescriptions

The Practice uses a computer system to print the prescriptions and monitor repeat prescriptions. The computer's prescription register contains all out patients' names which enables us to operate a safe and efficient prescribing system.

Repeat prescriptions will be given for one months' treatment at a time. Prescriptions are ready to collect two working days after ordering (Saturday and Sunday not included). The computer system we use is set to give the amount and frequency of drugs as prescribed by the doctor - usually enough for one month. If presriptions are ordered early, we may need to enquire about the reason to ensure that the correct treatment is being given. The normal time to re-order is during the last week of the current prescription, allowing two working days for processing and checking.

Please make telephone requests for repeat prescriptions on 01872 562201. This is a dedicated 24 hr line for repeat prescriptions only. It is a simple voice-mail message which most patients find convenient and easy to use.

if you prefer, you may leave a written request or marked repeat prescription form at the Surgery. You may also fax repeat requests if you wish or order on-line at www.chacewatersurgery.co.uk.

Our hours of work are between 8.30 am - 6.00 pm Monday - Friday.

Please consider these times when ordering ie: if after 6.00 pm the request will not be accepted until the following day OR at weekends the request will not be accepted until the following Monday.

PRESCRIPTION DELIVERY SERVICE

This service is for repeat prescriptions only is provided for patients who have difficulty collecting their prescriptions from the Surgery. This takes place every Thursday between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm.

Using the Prescription Delivery Service

When ordering your repeat prescription, please state that the presciption is to be delivered. We require one week's notice of the delivery ie: order the Thursday before the expected delivery. Someone will need to be at home to receive and sign for the delivery.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and bank holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems pleasse telephone the Surgery.

Online Repeat Prescription Ordering System

To use this new system  you will have to have an email account and also have an internet browser. This system unfortunately does not work with a 'Safari' internet browser.

Go to www.chacewatersurgery.co.uk, scroll to the bottom of the welcome page and click onto 'order repeat medication'

Read the logon information and then click onto 'register now'. This takes you to 'Repeat Medication Manager' registering for the repeat prescription service.

Read all of the information provided.

.   You will need to enter your email address

.   Your password must contain both letters and numbers

.   You must put a tick in the box to the right of 'confirm password' to say that you agree to the terms and conditions

.   Once you have done all of this click onto 'register'

This will take you back to what looks like the same screen but in red under repeat medication manager it will say 'please check your email inbox to complete your registration'.

It will take approximately 15 mins for this email to come through (possibly longer if they are busy)

You will receive an email from 'prescription@mysurgerywebsite.co.uk - repeat prescribing registration'. When you open this email it will say 'Repeat prescription activation & date' read information and click onto 'Confirm my registration'.

This will take you back to our website logon page. You will need to enter your email address and passwords to progress further.

This will take you to Repeat Medication Manager. Click onto 'Order a repeat for new patient' and a box will drop down with which will look like this:

Enter all of your details into the boxes Step 1 leaving new patient in the 'saved request' box. You date of birth mustbe entered in the following way: 02.03.1978. Once you have entered your entire details click onto Step 2. Enter all of your medication details into the boxes and put a tick in the boxes on the right hand side of those items you require.

When you have added all of your medication click onto Step 3. You can add a comment there regarding your medication if you wish. You also need to select where you would like to collect your medication from. Once you are happy with your order click onto 'send request'. This will then send your order to us and will take you back to Tab1. In red at the top of the screen it should confirm that your order has been sucessfully sent.

Adding other people to your account

To add another patients details go to Tab1. Where is says 'saved requests' click onto the down arrow on the right hand side and select 'new patient'. You can then add their details and order their medication in the same way.

All of your details will be saved and so the next time you need to order all you will need to do is put a tick next to the items you require and send your request.
