Prescription Delivery Service

This service is for repeat prescriptions only and is provided for patients who are housebound and have difficulty collecting their prescriptions from the Surgery. This takes place every THURSDAY between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm. This may be earlier or later at times of high numbers of deliveries and the patient or representative must be available to accept the delivery.  Medicines cannot be left or posted through the letterbox.

If you currently use this service and would be able to collect or arrange for somebody to collect your medication we would be very grateful if you could do so.

For those patients we feel are able to collect, we will be asking them to do so to enable us to deliver to those patients who need to use the service.

Using the Prescription Delivery Service

  • Please order by voicemail on 01872 562201online or by handing in or posting your repeat slip indicating which items are required by adding a tick or cross in the appropriate box.

Whichever way you order please state that you require delivery

  • We require a WEEK’S NOTICE for the delivery
  • YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN FOR YOUR PRESCRIPTION WHEN IT IS DELIVERED so it is important for you or your representative to be at home. If this is not possible you can arrange for a neighbour to accept your prescription, but please notify the Surgery in advance of the alternative address so the correct details are printed on the driver’s delivery sheet. If you are not at home when the driver calls your prescription will be returned to Chacewater Surgery. In this event please call 01872 560346 / 01872 562200 to arrange for a representative to collect on your behalf.

This is not an NHS service. The Delivery Driver is employed by the Surgery to provide this service.

Please allow at least four working days, excluding weekends and bank holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the Surgery.
